Sgt. Aponte, why your life was taken will never truly be known. God must have needed another Sergeant in Heaven. You are a hero and may you Rest in Peace, Brother.
As for the other officer, may God watch over his/her recovery and may it be swift and with as little pain as possible. You too, are a hero.
You both rushed to a call in which someone was in need of your help and you threw caution to the wind for the sake of another. God bless you both.
