"Final Call"

An Angel In The Sky Must Leave His Place Of Rest,
Gently Tucking His Wings Beneath His Armored Vest.
For Duty Has Called, There Is Much Work To Do
Little Did He Know, This One Is Dressed In Blue.

Arriving On The Scene, He Knows Just What To Say,
"Follow Me, Fallen Sister, I'll Show You The Way."
"Your Duty Has Ended, Your Work Is Now Through."
"Come Hang Your Hat Beside Mine, I'm A Cop, Too."

May you rest in Peace My sister, you will always be remembered.

I have been a police officer for 31 years, every time one of us makes the ultimate sacrifice, it hurts. It's one of those hurts whereas it's very deep in your soul accompanied by that awful feeling which lingers for weeks and weeks. I pray our good Lord and savior brings peace and understanding to the hearts of her family and friends and may they find rest in his tender mercy.

Although I never knew you personally and only learned of you after your tragic death, you are an inspiration. As I entered the Parkway today, over 1000 officers from all over came to pay their respects and support your family. That blew me away. The only conclusion I drew from that observance is that you were a hell of a cop! But after 18 years of service it was well deserved. I know you would not wish any ill will on the young man that took your life and I hope that your family and friends can be as understanding. Even speaking with the officers standing outside, no one said one bad thing about you. Your neighbor said you a beautiful woman and a wonderful mother, daughter and friend. I hope that your daughter can find love, peace and comfort knowing that you were so loved by so many and although it will never fill the void she now has in heart I know that she will grow into a fine woman, because she had you as an example. I hate that you were taken away in that manner, but I hope that you can rest knowing that the years you serve were not in vain. God Rest your soul

P/O Nazario,

You kept the streets safe for 18 years,
From rookie to veteran cop.
And now your death has brought many tears,
But the mission will never stop.

You lost your life in a tradgic way,
Many say how could this be.
So as I stand I salute and say,
You will always be a hero to me.

Rest In Peace

A little over 6 months ago, officer Nazzario sustained a minor injury to her hand at work, after which she attended outpatient therapy, where I had the pleasure of being her therapist. She demonstrated true compassion to all those around her, whether they were fellow colleagues or strangers. Anyone could easily identify the special relationship she had with her daughter, whom she truly adored and spoke of as her best friend. She was a symbol of professionalism and dedication to her job; which may I add is unique to police officers, fireman, and paramedics in the City of Philadelphia. Once again, God has taken one so dear and special, truly a “diamond in the rough”. I prey for the peace of her soul, and consoling comfort to her family, friends and colleagues.
