How strange is life's wanderings...Unknown to me until just recently, I was born the day Jack died and went on to a 30 year career as a county marshal. Thank you for your service, Jack.

To fully appreciate the heroes of the present, we must recognize our heroes of the past. Your heroism and service is honored today, the 71rst anniversary of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer who was murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.

Time never diminishes respect. Your memory will always be honored and revered.

Rest In Peace.

Marshal Triplett,
I wish I could have known you. Rest assured your son (not yet born when you were killed) turned out to be a good man. Kind, generous and loving in all he does. I suspect it is a family trait.
