To the family, friends and co-workers, our thoughts and prayers go out to you. There's not much anyone can say at this time that will help, just know there a lot of people there for you.

Words cannot express the sadness this brings. My fondest memories of law enforcement were with the Okaloosa County Sheriffs Office.
I am sure Deputy Forgione is in a better place, god bless. My thoughts and prayers are with Deputy Forgione's family and with the members of the Okaloosa County Sheriffs Office.

My deepest thoughts and prayers are with Deputy Forgione's wife, children, family, friends and co-workers. I was married to Alabama State Trooper Brian Nichols EOW 2/17/2002 and I am now married to Washington County Deputy Sheriff Aaron Carpenter. All of your C.O.P.S. family is here for you and hurting for you. We all became a family when our loved ones became police officers and now we have even a stronger bond when one of our family members goes down. We are here for you to help you along this journey you now have joined with us. God bless you all.

Dep. Sheriff Forgione:
Thank you for stepping up and joining a profession that is much maligned and thankless. If it wasn't for you and your enforcement family of officers willing to take on the awesome responsibility of bravely enforcing the law, none of our families would feel safe. Sadly, you paid the ultimate sacrifice.
In Niceville, we take our safe and close-knit community for granted. We are all shocked and saddened by the loss of one of our own, and have heavy hearts for your family. I know Niceville will rally around them and make sure they are not alone and you, sir, will not be forgotten.
Rest in peace in the arms of the angels Dep. Forgione.
