I knew Officer Widman (we knew him as 'Wid') at my dorm on campus at Toccoa Falls College, in NE Georgia. I will always remember the long discussions that we had about our idols of the TFC Staff, his: Dr. Potter; mine: Dr. Williams. We would 'argue' for hours, the merrits and flaws of their different areas of study. Wid, you will not be forgotten.

There are no words any of us can say to you that will soften the pain you feel today and will in the future. Coming here to read the reflections left will be hard for a long time, but there will come a time when it will be a comfort to you. You may still cry, but you will know that you are not alone in your grief. There are too many of us who know that grief, but know that we share your loss and you will be remembered in our prayers.

Don't stand by my grave and weep
for I am not there, I do not sleep
I am a thousand winds that blow
I am the sunlight on ripened grain
I am the gentle autumn’s rain

When you awaken in morning's hush
I am the swift uplifting rush
of quiet birds in a circle flight
I am the soft stars that shine at night
Do not stand at my grave and cry
I am not there, I did not die.

Thank you for the reminder of life's precious quick beauty.
You will always be remembered. May be Peace and Love fill the hearts of your loved ones.
