Reflections for Police Officer Frank Gerard Macri
God Bless You for your courage and strength.
I will never forget watching with horror what was going on in NY when, suddenly, our high-rise condo shook and the odor of jet fuel poured into our home when the Pentagon was hit. I couldn't believe I was living it and witnessing it on tv at the same time. Grabbed my orange traffic vest and went down the street to help control the chaos so the First Responders could get through.
Rest in Peace - you're suffering is over. You gave your all, and so did your family. My prayers go out to them.
Sleep peacefully, in the Arms of the Lord.

Even though it is 2008 we will continue, and always, see the repercussions of such a terrible attack.
What is also evident for all eternity is the bravery and courage of those who relentlessly stayed in, what I would call, "hell on earth", to dig through the debris.
No doubt everyone there that day are hero's.

My deepest thoughts and prayers are with Officer Macri's wife, child, family, friends and co-workers. I was married to Alabama State Trooper Brian Nichols EOW 2/17/2002 and I am now married to Washington County Deputy Sheriff Aaron Carpenter. All of your C.O.P.S. family is here for you and hurting for you. We all became a family when our loved ones became police officers and now we have even a stronger bond when one of our family members goes down. We are here for you to help you along this journey you now have joined with us. God bless you all.
