I would like to express my deepest sympathy to the wife, daughter, and family of Officer Miktarian...the circumstances are similar to those of my brother Rodney Pocceschi who also was 33 years old and was killed during a traffic stop 6/23/03. My heart goes out to all of them; I know exactly what they are feeling and their sadness and trauma. I still remember it like it was yesterday.

I pray that God will be with the family and that they will seek God to help them with their trauma and sadness.

Our officers are risking far too much, something more needs to be done to ensure their safety.

Brother Josh you have ascended into the ranks of Gods Police Dept in heaven and have joined with all our heroic brothers and sisters who have gone before you. You are already missed here by your family and your comrads in Ohio. We know you didn't ask for this new assignment but rest assured your family will be cared for by your brothers and sisters left behind. You will not be forgotten and your honor, your dedication and your integrity will serve as pillars of strength for all that follow into law enforcement. know too that your new assignement will have no more encounters with negative people but is filled with peace and joy from God.

A Part of America Died

Somebody killed a policeman today
and a part of America died...
A piece of our country he swore to protect
Will be buried with him at his side.
The beat that he walked was a battlefield; too,
Just as if he had gone off to war;
Though the flag of our nation won't fly at half-mast
To his name they will add a gold star.
The suspect that shot him will stand up in court
With counsel demanding his rights,
While a young widowed mother must work for her kids
And spend many long, lonely nights.
Yes, somebody killed a policeman today...
Maybe in your town or mine,
While we slept in comfort behind our locked doors
A cop put his life on the line.
Now his ghost walks the beat on a dark city street,
And he stands at each new rookie's side;
He answered the call... of himself gave his all,
And a part of America died...

Rest in Peace, Hero.
