Josh-
Words cannot express the pain I feel. There is a tremendous void in my heart and I'm not sure how to fill it. I will miss your humor, your impressions, your guidance, and your friendship. Be assured we will forever be there for Holly and Thea.

"A coward dies a thousand deaths, a hero only one."

Rest in peace my friend, we have the watch from here.

Officer Miktarian, your bravery does not go unrewarded. Every citizen in the US thanks you for selfless service and dedication for making our lives, homes and streets safe. Know that your fellow officers, and kids that you inspired to become future officers, will continue on in your memory. Your time here, like Jason's, was much too short, but know that we appreciate how much good you packed into such a short time. No amount of time here would ever have been long enough for your love ones - let them take comfort in knowing that your actions positively affected so many people everyday. Too many times, we forget to thank these officers who watch over us until it is too late. Officer Miktarian, thank you for your service.

A Part Of America Died,

Somebody killed a policeman today,
And part of America died.
A piece of our country he swore to protect,
Will be buried with him at his side.
The suspect that shot him will stand up in court,
With counsel demanding his rights.
While a young widowed mother must work for her kids,
And spend many long lonely nights.
The beat he walked was a battle field too
just as if he had gone off to war.
Though the flag of our nation won't fly at half mast,
To his name they will add a gold star.
Yes, somebody killed a policeman today,
In your town or mine,
While we slept in comfort behind locked doors,
A cop put his life on the line.
Now his ghost walks a beat on a dark city street,
And stands at each new rookies' side.
He answered the call,of himself and gave his all,
And a part of America died.

Everytime I get these notifications its like living the nightmare again.

Your Officer was a Hero. He will be sorely missed here but will have a respected identity in the hereafter.

My son left a 3 yr old girl and 5 yr. old boy. I cry to think of your tiny baby but know that God has a reason for everything he does but it takes a LONG time to come to terms with that reason.

We will pray for your husband, father, son as was done for my son.

Officer Miktarian's Family,

When my family heard of Ofc. Joshua Miktarian's death we cried. We never had the priviledge to meet Ofc Miktarian but we share your grief. We recently felt the pain of losing one of our family members Ofc. Derek Owens E.O.W. 03/01/08. Know that only God can ease the loss of a family member, and only he can relieve the pain. We will pray for your family and hope that you will soon feel the grace that you need to continue on. Rest in Peace Ofc. Miktarian and Thank you for your service.

This really sadden's me, I was almost on the recieving end of this two years ago but God obviously has another plan for my Husband. Officer Joshua died doing what he loved and
now because of that he patrol's the street's of gold. Look down and protect your fellow officer's because we know you are home now in celebration with Jesus. Family be proud of your Son, Husband, father. Lean On God and he will show you the way. Even though your hearts are heavy, you can be assured the Joshua is one of God's Angels.
