Josh,
I don't even know where to begin... I am so Thankful that we had spent some time together a few days before you were taken from us. We will all miss having you here to make us laugh. Most off all, Thank-You for your sacrifice to all of us in Blue, YOU ARE OUR HERO, you saved one of us. Holly and Thea will be taken care of, you will have eternal watch over them, and Thea WILL know her Father. Rest in Peace Josh. And from now on, when it THUNDERS, I will know that you are playing your guitar and rumbling one of your "Deep Growls" into the microphone.......

There are no words any of us can say to you that will soften the pain you feel today and will in the future. Coming here to read the reflections left will be hard for a long time, but there will come a time when it will be a comfort to you. You may still cry, but you will know that you are not alone in your grief. There are too many of us who know that grief, but know that we share your loss and you will be remembered in our prayers.

To Officer Miktarian's wife & daughter, parents & siblings. Yours is the ultimate sacrifice. Yours is the greatest loss.
Your questions, most prominent being why, are asked by many of
us. Why does god take a good man and leave behind those who
are so evil that they take life without any realization of
the devastation of this act? I have been following this story
of the incident that resulted in Joshua's death. Wondering
why this murderer would compound his evil act with lies of
self defense to save himself. Claiming self defense, when
Joshua's gun was in it's holster. Asking why he would flee
the scene if in fact he was only defending himself. So while no right thinking person believes this account I have had to ask why would this suspect add insult to injury by not only
killing Joshua but also attempting to assassinate his character. My hope and prayer is that the judicial system
will bring to light what this suspect did in the dark. That
investigation will reveal what ever he was attempting to hide that fateful day. It will not bring Joshua back and
having lost a child myself I know well that this is the one
thing we long for all of our lives. It will however vindicate Josh and verify the senselessness of this evil act.
Holly, in a post you asked Josh, "what will you tell his baby girl". Tell her over the years these two things.

1. That her daddy loved her above all else and will live forever in her heart. She is the evidence of that love.
she will one day see her daddy again. That is a promise.
What the caterpillar sees as the end the butterfly knows is just the beginning.

2. Her father was a man of character and integrity, loved by so many. Mourned by many. As I searched online in a feeble attempt to answer my own questions of why, I found so so many
messages left from the good people in the world who sense
this loss. So many with good things to say about Josh. Messages that capture the essence of all that he was. While
today it is difficult to read these messages it will in the future become a great source of comfort. Have someone help you print all of these heartfelt messages. Not just here but
on news sites all over the web, before they are replaced by other stories. Create a book for Thea that
will help her to know her father through the eyes of those who knew him. It will also help her to understand that the
world although sometimes unfair and even cruel, still is filled with good people. She will need to know that in her
later years because she will surely feel loss. It will help to temper any bitterness for what was taken from her.

While you cry many cry with you. Friends and strangers. For
all of your sakes I pray that beneath this tragedy is triumph. I will pray that you all come to know the triumph.

Josh joined St. Michael's heavenly patrol. Not to guard the streets of heaven for there is no evil there. But to rejoin
his earthly patrol and keep safe you, Thea and his brother, sister and parents and his brothers in blue. So when any need him he will be there. He has wings now..............

Josh I can't begin to understand what happened that morning. Never thought I'd be here writing this. Our friendship went way beyond cool and it was/is my pleasure to be able to tell everyone you were/are my boy. The boat, pizza shop, my wedding ect ect. are few of the MANY things that will always be great memories. It's a really hard time for me because I truly lost a TRUE friend. You know I'll try and hold it down for you and yours the best I can. I felt you laughing at me as I washed your Harley for the procession cause I know that was not a popular thing for you to do you would just ride. Two police departments,Pizza world (lol), Barium, Holly&Thea shows what type of dedicated person you were. I feel God was saying it's time to rest brother. Summit County to Twinsburg 745.....Great job, RIP and GOD BLESS...GOD BLESS HOLLY & THEA.

I'm sorry. there is so little i can say. I know your suffering and I will never let anyone forget your husband and what he has done for his community and our country. I'm just.. so very very sorry. May God wrap His embrace around you and your precious baby in your time of greatest torment and suffering and perhaps one day walk with you on the journey into healing. there are no words to articulate my sorrow and understanding. you are in my prayers now and forever. your tears are my tears, your pain is my pain. I know that our dear, sweet men have now met in Heaven and Joshua was welcomed with open arms.
