Compounding this tragedy is the absolute senselessness.
Over 20 years on the force, confronting all kinds of
dangerous situations and then, some irresponsible and
reckless individual ends a valuable life and negatively
alters numerous lives. These people should be forced
to hear how their actions have impacted peoples lives.
Hear from the families left behind to mourn.
To Officer Gryder's wife and son, may you find peace
through the terrible darkness of grief. To the department,
I join you in your hours of sadness and loss. To any and all who ever read this, do your part wherever and whenever
possible to keep a drunk off the road knowing that your
efforts will ALWAYS count toward saving a life. To the
other officer who was injured in this incident I wish you
a complete and speedy recovery.
Officer Gryder Rest In Peace.
