I only had the honor of working with Rich for a couple of years, but I will always remember him as a Cop's Cop, and a devoted father. Everyone loved Rich and I wouldn't hesitate to go thru a door with him. God speed to you buddy, I will miss you more than I can say.

to Officer Findley's wife and daughters, I leave my heart
felt condolences. I am so sorry for your loss. I will be praying that those cowards responsible are quickly brought to justice and
that will bring you a measure of peace. Although I know that
what you want most is to have him back. Your husband and father, paid the ultimate price for his desire to make this
crazy world safer. In a sense even now he will continue to contribute to that safety because the cowards will be
taken off the streets unable to harm anyone else. It will
be the act that completes the sacrifice.
Small consolation I know but one day you will feel the pride
beyond the pain. He is no farther from you than your heart. He will be in the gentle breeze that moves your hair, the bird that lingers on your window sill or the butterfly that picks your
bench to rest on. He will be where you are and he will let
you know.
God Bless and grant you all peace. To his brothers and sisters at Prince George County Police, be vigilant and
stay safe, it will be one or two of you who encounter these
cowards and arrest them so that they may face the charges and the sentence they have earned.
God Bless you all.
