I met Richard at the PG Firehouse years ago with my Friend George Ward, from that day on I knew I had met a friend who always made everyone around him smile. he warmed up to everybody good that he met. My fondest memory of Rich was at George Wards wedding we were putting on our tuxedos and when we looked rich's jacket was way to small and mine was way to big, we were going to go just like that to give George a heart attack, but decided to switch jackets and make it all normal.Every time i was around Rich he always was smiling and making others smiling. the world lost a great family man as well as a person who dedicated his life to protecting others and sadly payed the ultimate price. My prayers and thoughts go out to his wife and 2 children as well as the police and fire departments family. Richard will now be protecting us from above. Goodbye and rest in peace

Rich, I haven't seen you in nearly 19 years. I still remember standing on your old neighborhood street, cracking jokes with your sister Debbie. You talked about the great times you were having at the firehouse and all the things you were learning. You were such a kid. And then to see you again, on my TV, with those thoughtful, loving eyes. Right away I knew it was you. Such a tragedy. Who would even imagine. And though I have not seen you in years, I truely see the impact you have had on your brothers and sisters of the police and fire community. God speed and may you rest in peace. Thank you for your service and rest assure that your community will take care of your family in our thoughts, actions and prayers.

Corporal Findley,
I didn't know you well, but I knew you well enough. You were always there with sincere words of advice, or just a funny story to break the monotony. You made the ultimate sacrifice, and rest assured that we will carry on in your stead.

Rest in Peace Brother,
We now have the watch.
