June has certainly been a deadly month for law enforcement. Every time I log on, a new name has been added. And yesterday, Shawn met sheer evil face to face. Don't put your faith in the justice system, they don't always get it right. Instead, know that justice will be served in the next life by the True Judge. I am so sorry you are having to experience this. I can't imagine how your mind must wander fearing the future and being despondent over the loss. Reach out to others, knowing they want to help carry the burden for you were never meant to travel this road alone. I am happy that you have a small piece of Shawn to carry with you for all your days. Trust in the Lord Jesus because He cares for you. All across America, our hearts go out to you and we send our empathy and love for your heartbreaking loss.

It's always heartbreaking when reading about another fallen officer, especially those with children. Trooper Blanton's child is 2 weeks old. I pray that his department will embrace this young family and tell his child what a hero his Father truly was. I pray his community will stand in support of Trooper Blanton's family,as he gave his life protecting and helping to make you safe.

There are not words to convey the sorrow felt by so many regarding the loss of this young Trooper. I can only say that my heart breaks for his wife, while she worries as only a mother can at the side of her premie son's isolette, only to have her life's mate ripped from her world. I am so very sorry. Just as the poem "Footprints in the Sand," know that Jesus is carrying you now, for no human can carry such a burden alone. You will be surrounded by the love of so many of us who have walked this path, but only God knows your heart and since He made it, only He can heal it. Again, I am so sorry for your loss and I will pray for the strength and growth of your little son.
God bless this Trooper and all those he loved...

I have always respected the NCHP more than any other agency I have come into contact with. Im sure that it was quite and honor and a priveledge to serve with the dignity and respect that came with being a member of NCHP. Though I did not know you, you were part of a family, no matter what color uniform we wear or what kind of patrol car we drive. I have friends close to me that knew you which makes this a trajedy that much more real. We do what we do because we love it and you will be sorely missed. The impact you have had on peoples lives will not be forgotten.

My deepest prayers and sympathy go out to your family, friends, and entire department. You will not be forgotten, and always honored. You gave the ultimate sacrifice, for which there are no words that I can say, other then I pray for God to comfort your loved ones, and to let them know others are praying for them. I know angels carried you far up into the heavens above, where you are in the loving arms of God now. May you rest in peace, and God Bless!
