Although I didn't know you personally, we shared the same uniform and that makes you part of my family. Our hearts and prayers go out to the family. God had a need for you to come home early Trooper Blanton, as He often calls on the good ones to enter the Kingdom early. Your service here will not be forgotten, thank you for all that you did while you were with us.

For the family- should you need anything, don't hesitate to contact another member. May God bless you all.

As I went 10-8 this night just thirty miles away I got the bolo. I prayed you would be fine but it wasn't meant to be. I wished I was there with you to help.It rained this night but I really think it was weaping angels as they took you home. Truly God waits with open arms for such a Valiant soul. Our thoughts and prayers go out to Trooper Blanton's family and friends. Not only was he our brother but also a long time friend. Shawn and I spoke on a weekly basis and each time he would have to come to the Detention Center I (Jessica) would be greeted by Shawn with a big smile and hug. Everyone that knew Shawn knew that by the time you finished talking with him you were left with laughs and smiles!! Shawn the time you were here was cherished and valued. It was absolutely amazing to be a part of your life. Your services were greatly appreciated and never will be forgotten. I(Jessica) will wear that Duke shirt very proudly for you every game. Rest in Peace our brother and very special friend.
