My thoughts and prayers are with you and the loved ones you left behind. While I work for Phoenix PD, both of my parents retired from Tucson PD. I grew up in the stations down there and look at the department's officers like part of my family. You will be greatly missed.

Erik, I come here with a sad heart and trying not to cry. The Jennings family will miss you immensely and will always remember the times at your house when we would sit around and talk about God, while my children would watch movies and eat the popcorn you unselfishly provided. You were a good man of God and I will do my best to take care of your family, just as you cared and took care of the citizens of Tucson and Pima County. It seems so unreal that you are gone so suddenly, yet we will see each other again in heaven. The last time I saw you was just a few months ago when I was out in the secure parking lot at the jail and you were in your car, just about to book a prisoner in. I was going through a rough time then, but it was good just to get a few precious minutes to talk. Don't worry, Erik-we've got the watch from here. You've got Heaven's beat now and you probably will ride it on a new Harley! We'll see you one day in the sky. Godspeed my brother!

Erik,
God bless you and your family. Your sacrifice will not be in vein. To your family may they know that you gave of yourself so that others may live, God has taken your loved one home, he only knows peace and is surrounded by others that passed before him and he will be there waiting for those that will pass after. RIP Thank you for your service.
