It was a very difficult day today!! I miss you so so much and think of you every day ! But today those last moments of having you here with me Kept playing back over and over llike a video in my mind. I could hear and see you taking your last breath; something No Mother should ever have to go through. I am so thankful for the times we had together. Thankfully I have come to realize that with each passing day I am one day closer to being with you again. Know this Son that even though we are physically apart I can sense your presence still with me. WOW I can only imagine what it must be like to spend Christmas in Heaven. In honor of your birthday your daddy and I got together with some of your friends at Ga Bob's we realeased 35 blue balloons with personal notes attached. we had a small candle light service at sunset. If I counted correctly there were 59 family and friends that stopped by for the event. Your daddy and I let some balloons go for the other officers as well. I love you and miss you so deeply !! Happy Birthday Son !! Remember we are only one brethe away from each other.

I just wanted you to know that on the 2nd anniversary of your passing that I attended a funeral. It was Peggy Sanders from church she died of cancer. I was holding up well trying to think only of her and her family and then I opened the service card and noticed that you and she were born on the same day. I lost it then!! Put two sunflowers and one yellow rose on your grave. I still can not believe that you are gone. I miss you son so much!! I am so blessed to have been chosen to be your mother. What lessons in life you taught me and I felt today that you and God are still teaching me. I LOVE YOU MY PRECIOUS SON !!! Tell everyone we know I send my love .

Your heroism and service is honored today, the first anniversary of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer who was murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.
