Mike, my friend and brother, we will miss you. You may not be with us physically, but your spirit will be with us for the rest of our days. Please lead our rides and shield us from danger as you did when we had the honor and privilege of riding with you to and from the Georgia Police Memorial Ride, on April 26. As we honored them on that day and every day, we will honor you and all that you have done in serving our community.

Michael was in my motor school in GPSTC. We graduated as motor men together. We were each others partners on test day. It was our responsibility to follow each other through out the course. When we passed we each took our victory lap around the track together. If his dedication to that class and training was even a glimmer of what he truly was everyday, then Bibb County has truly lost a fine deputy. Michael represented himself and his agency with pride. I remember last seeing him at this years Police Memorial ride as we stood by Atlanta P.D.'s helicopter catching up and talking about motor school. I remember him talking about loving what he was doing and being proud to be a motor man. To the family, you will be in my thoughts and prayers. Michael earned his wings on earth and I know he will do the same in heaven.
