Reflections for Patrolman Jerry A. Green
Rest in Peace, Patrolman Green. Your sacrifice is not forgotten.
Officer 11169

Your heroism and service is honored today, the forty-third anniversary of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer who was murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.
Time never diminishes respect. Your memory will always be honored and revered. I pray for the solace of all those who love and miss you for I know both the pain and pride are forever.
Rest In Peace.

It has taken some time, but you were never forgotten. Thanks to Lloyd, John, and a few others, you are finally being recognized for making the ultimate sacrifice. You have made everyone at BPD proud. May you rest in peace in brother.

Officer Jerry Green was forgotten for a time. I myself did extensive research on Officer Green's death. Officer Green was disabled following the crash and had to be cared for all of his remaining days. His wife stayed by his side and his daughter, Marlene, quit high school and helped tend to all his needs. They are also heros in my book. In the process of researching our hero's death, I also discovered that Officer Green's widow, who is now 83 years old, did not recieve a survivor pension as she should have. Not only are we honoring Officer Green, but his wife will soon be getting all the back pension that is owed to her. We at the Bloomington Police Department are very proud of Officer Green and the two heros in his family. We now hope he can rest in peace knowing that he was not fogotten and his family has also been remembered.

Patrolman Green, thank you for your service and dedication. It is sad that your own Department appears to have forgotten you and the ultimate sacrifice you made. Rest in peace.
