Family, Friends & Fellow Officers Remember...

Our small town in southwest Georgia held our annual 9/11 Stair Climb in honor of all the first responders. We each chose a tag of a hero from 9/11 to wear as we completed the Stair Climb. The hero on my tag was Officer Peluso. God Bless him and his family!

Its been many years and I just wanted to share my experience with Angelo. I worked with him in the 10th Pct. in the early to mid 90's. The man had an incredible sense of humor. He was the kind of guy that you always wanted to be around. He was a damn good cop as well. My prayers are always with his family and friends. He will never be forgotten.

Your heroism and service is honored today, the third anniversary of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service to the citizens of New York. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer who was murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.

Time never diminishes respect. Your memory will always be honored and revered. Rest In Peace.

Angelo worked in my team in Manhattan's 10th Precinct Street Narcotics Enforcement Unit from 1991-1992. I remember choking on my food many times as I gagged with painful laughter as Ang wise-cracked at one of the team. Before he worked in my team, I remember a day when Ang stood before the Desk with a local mutt under arrest. Angelo had recently taken the steady foot post in the "projects," and apparently felt the need to "gently" establish that he wasn't going to take any BS from the local ne'er-do-wells. Desk Sergeant says, "Hey Ang, whadayagot." "Public Spitting," Angelo says. Desk officer looks at Angelo like, "WTF" and says "Uh, What." Angelo looks at the Desk Sergeant incredulously, and obviously making it up as he went says, "Sarge, this guy spit on the sidewalk directly in my path. Now, the sun is pretty hot today, and it made that saliva evaporate pretty quick, which means I probably breathed in that evaporated saliva and that's a disgusting violation of the law. I suggested that he clean it up, but as you can see, he refused." Guffaws erupted from the guys in the nearby complaint rooom, reducing the whole area to hysterics. And this was a typical Angelo moment. I hope the Lord was sitting down when you came before Him Ang. May he rest in the Lord's Peace.... John 3:16

Angelo, you truly were a man of many talents.

Working with you was a blast, with your wicked sense of humor, wit, enthusiasm, and ability to turn even dark dreary days into moments of side splitting laughter.

Hopefully, your family knows long before you selflessly gave your life, you gave of yourself, giving cops much needed cheer, entertainment, memories, stories to brighten and liven up the work day.

God must have needed someone to cheer up the heavens and bring laughter and joy to those in need, in the Hereafter.
