Sarge,
I never met you but I can tell by your actions on the day of the incident you must have been one heck of a boss. You did not take the lay-back attitude just because you have stripes and for you to encounter the suspects and pay the ultimate sacrifice that is proof in itself of what a true hero you really are. Any one of your officers could have come upon these individuals first but is was you. Not only were you protecting the citizens of Philadelphia but you protected your troops as well like any good boss would do. I salute you SARGE and may you rest in peace.

Our thoughts and prayers are with all the family and friends of this TRUE HERO. Although I did not know him personally, from all I have seen and heard on the news, he was quite a man who was unfortunately only on this Earth for too short of a time. Now is with the angels, and he too now is an angel who will be watching over all his family and friends from Heaven. God Bless All of you and Sergeant Liczbinski may you rest in peace. Thank you for all you did. God Bless!

The Final Inspection
The policeman stood and faced God,
Which must always come to pass.
He hoped his shoes were shining,
Just as brightly as his brass.
"Step forward now, policeman.
How shall I deal with you?
Have you always turned the other cheek?
To my church have you been true?"
The policeman squared his shoulders and said,
"No lord, I guess I ain't,
Because those of us who carry a badge
can't always be a saint."
I've had to work most Sundays,
and at times my talk was rough,
and sometimes I've been violent,
Because the streets are awfully tough.
But I never took a penny,
That wasn't mine to keep
Though I worked a lot of overtime
When the bills got just too steep.
And I never passed a cry for help,
Though at time I shook with fear.
And sometimes, God forgive me,
I've wept unmanly tears.
I know I don't deserve a place
Among the people here.
They never wanted me around
Except to calm their fear.
If you've a place for me here, Lord,
It needn't be so grand.
I never expected or had too much,
But if you don't I'll understand.
There was a silence all around the throne
Where the saints had often trod.
As the policeman waited quietly,
For the judgement of his god.
"Step forward now, policeman,
You've born your burdens well.
Come walk a beat on Heaven's streets,
You've done your time in hell"

YOU REALLY ARE THE DEFINITION OF THE WORD "HERO". ANY MAN WHO CAN WALK INTO THE FIRE OF THESE STREET FOR THE SAFETY OF OTHERS IS A GIFT GIVEN FROM GOD TO PROTECT ALL.
YOU DID SOMETHING ONLY 1% OF THE POPULATION WOULD THINK OF DOING TO HELP OTHERS. YOU ARE UNIQUE IN THE WAY YOU STOOD UP FOR EVERYTHING YOU BELIEVED IN, TO PROTECT THE CITIZENS OF PHILADELPHIA IN SOME OF THE ROUGHEST TIMES WE HAVE EVER SEEN.
YOU WILL NEVER BE FORGOTTEN AND WE WILL TAKE IT FROM HERE.
JUST KNOW THAT THE REASON WE HOLD OUR HEADS HIGH EVERY SINGLE DAY WHEN WE GO TO WORK IS BECAUSE OF YOU.
