Reflections for Sergeant Stephen Liczbinski

RIP brother

Steve, I still can't believe that you're gone. I miss the days when we were all back in the 4th District, 5 squad doing our thing. They could have put more stripes or bars on you but that would have never stopped you from doing the job the way it's supposed to be done. May God bless you and your family. Rest in Peace brother.

My co-worker, my friend. Steve, you will never be forgotten. Everyday I open my locker i will see your picture. Although I worked in the 3rd and you in the 4th we responded to many of the same emergencies. When I was in trouble on the street all I needed to see was you there backing me up and I knew I was safe. Your commitment to the people you worked with and your service to the citizens of Philadelphia was second to none. Watching you work you were always tough but fair. Never shying away from any situation you were afraid of nothing. I always had nothing but respect for you and your sense of duty. You will be sorely missed my brother. We love you very much and we will take care of your family as you would have done for any of us. R.I.P.

God Bless Sgt. Liczbinski and his family. The courage he showed that day and everyday to put on his uniform and go to work knowing that sooner or later he would put himself in danger to ensure our safety is what makes him and all of his collegues heroes. It should inspire all us who do not wear their uniform to do our part to support our officers in any and all possible ways.

We are going to miss you here at home dad. I hope I made you smile with the Flyers chant at your funeral today. I wanted to lighten the mood a little, that was your way too. I promise to take care of Mom and Amber. Stevie is on his own. Love you dad, see you in a few.

Steve, even though I only met you a few times . I knew the few times I dispatched to you when you were in the 4th you would always handle things for us no matter where or what it was ... You treated everyone equally and when you offered to buy me and my partner dinner the one night for helping you really meant alot to me ... All your brothers and sisters in blue and your extended family in police radio will be there to help your family through this. You will be missed so much ... Watch down on us...
