To Mrs. Howell I worked with Howell as we called him at the Berkeley County Detention Center. He was always very happy in anything he did. He always talked about being a street officer even then. He spoke very proudly of you and his sons. I'm blessed more just to have known him. And he finally did what he always wanted to do. Remember he died doing what he truly loved.

Rest in peace my fellow brother in blue. Putting yourself in harms way kept a victim from facing the same fate. You have your all for the benefit of another. No greater gift has a man than to lay down his life for a friend. I hope there is some peace for your family in knowing your attacker met his end for his actions.
