Reflections for Chief of Police William Lou "Bill" Osborne

This is my grandfather I never got to know. It is nice to find him on this web sit for all to know. I was told about him after I became a certified Texas Officer. My name is Van Clayton Osborne from Floyd Co. My two sons Clayton Ray Osborne and Spencer Perry Osborne have also followed in his foot steps to serve their Country and State. I think it is in our blood to serve. God Bless the USA.

To fully appreciate the heroes of the present, we must recognize our heroes of the past. Your heroism and service is honored today, the 86th anniversary year of your death. I am privileged to leave a tribute to you. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service.

My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer who was murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.

Time never diminishes respect. Your memory will always be honored and revered. Rest In Peace.

It is so tragic that your young son was murdered in this assault on you. My heart aches to think of the sadness your family had to endure. I am sure you are proud that your family, who sacrificed so much, has continued your legacy of protecting and serving.
