Officer Cook was my grandmother’s Uncle Tip. His sister, Laura Cook, helped with raising & educating 2 of his sons. Both of these sons were dentists in the Louisville area but both choose to be buried in Harrogate next to their Dad and Aunt Laura. They knew the value of their Father’s sacrifice in the line of duty.

Your heroism and service is honored today, the eighty first anniversary of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.

One brother taken by what he thought was another brother of the law enforcement family. This is one of the worst things that can happen. Officer Cook you are a hero. I know you are just now being honored but you have been watching our backs since 1930. Thank You

This is a tragic case, indeed. I am honored to be among the first to leave a reflection honoring your bravery and courage. Although almost 78 years have passed since your tragic and brutal murder, your name is now known, you will FOREVER be a hero and will NEVER be forgotten again!
