To Jarod's family,

The service was beautiful yesterday and was a wonderful tribute to a hero. Being a fellow BP wife, I recognize the pain and sacrifice our "boys" go through every day. Our prayers are with you. God bless...

Dear Cathy, Pavlina and Family:

Our hearts go out to you. What a tragedy. I'm reminded of something I read a long time ago. When God goes to the garden of life He doesn't just pick the weeds, but some of the most beautiful, fragarant flowers. This turly is a picture of Jarod's life. May we take comfort in where he's at and one day we will see him again.

Dittman, you will be missed by all. You gave the ultimate sacrifice defending our country, and we are grateful. Everything you did in life you put your heart in it and gave it your all. You will be truly missed.

Blessed are the peacemakers; for they shall be called the children of God.

To the family, you should be proud. Jarod was a great man and fellow agent. He would have given you the shirt off of his back. During our days at the academy he would always talk about his family. Family and country was everything to Jarod, and he gave his all to defend it. From the bottom of my heart thank you. Rest in peace now your watch is over, we got it from here.

Until we meet again

Jarod,

When I was 10 years old, my life changed because you came into this world. Much more than becoming an "aunt" for the first time, you made me realize what it was like to love someone more than myself, paving the way for me to become a good parent for my own children.

Now you have left this world for a better one and while you are happy, whole and at peace, we are left to struggle with the void you have left behind. Know that I will keep you alive in my heart. Memories will be a comfort one day and we will again laugh at the antics you pulled when you were a little boy, and later on when you weren't so little (hanging your brother from a clothes hook?)

I will always remember your smile and quick laugh, our target shooting sessions, board game playing and history lessons. I am grateful for having been there for all the big events in your life and watching you grow into a brave man who is worthy of respect and honor.

I love you J, see you one day soon.

We offer our heartfelt sympathy to the family, friends and colleagues of Agent Dittman and we honor his distinguished service to the cause of justice and peace. Sadly, our nation has lost one of its finest citizens, a community has lost a friend and protector, and a family has lost an example of character and courage who they will love and respect forever. Today, because of the sacrifice Agent Dittman has made, the house of freedom is stronger, sturdier, and more secure.

To the family, friends, and colleagues of Agent Dittman, I would like you to know that a lot of people pray for you, and my hope is that their prayers will give you the strength necessary to move on. Just as you were always with him when he walked the beat or patrolled the streets, know that he will always be with you - wherever you may be. In the days to follow, may you be strengthened by the fact that Agent Dittman is a man distinguished by exceptional courage and will always be admired for his brave deeds and noble qualities. You, your family and your sacrifice will never be forgotten.

For those who pledge to uphold it, Freedom requires a sacrifice the protected will never know.
