Reflections for Deputy Sheriff Chester Summa
Grandpa, I may have never had the privilege to meet you but you were never forgotten. We speak of you often. Although Grandma has joined you, your picture is now in my home. Both Mom and Uncle Otis favor you! Grandma nor my Mom have ever been able to recall your burial site. I hope to find you someday. I’ve loved you always.

Time may have passed but you are not forgotten. I believe as long as someone remembers you or speaks your name, you are still with us.
Thank you for your heroism.
GOD Bless

To fully appreciate the heroes of the present, we must recognize our heroes of the past. Your heroism and service is honored today, the 57th anniversary of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer who was murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.
Time never diminishes respect. Your memory will always be honored and revered. Rest In Peace

Deputy Summa,
This year I have been fortunate to have been assigned to ride the Police Unity Tour in your honor. I am honored to make the trip in your name. I will make the journey knowing that you are my motivation and I will not let you down. As you walk the beat with all of our other fallen brothers and sisters, know that you sir, have not been forgotten and will always be remembered. I am proud to ride for you. Watch my six as I make this trip and thank you for your service. Rest In Peace brother.
