To the family and friends of Corp. Thielepape,
I can't comfort you just with words. I can't reach out from this e-mail and relieve your pain. The seperation is so new and open.
But let me say this: Corp. Thielepape had taken into custody a desperate criminal who obviously had no regard for life-yours, mine, the kid across the street.
He did what we are all sworn to do, protect and serve. He was a man who obviously went above and beyond the call in this matter. He was protecting all of us.
I hope that his love for you and all he knew and served well will be celebrated every day. rest assured, he is in a far, far better place than any of us can imagine.
"Greater love has no man than this, that a man gives up his life for his friends." (John 15:13)
May the Lord Jesus bless you all.
