Lieutenant Hayes, You died the same year I was born. That has some special meaning to me. The reflection posted before this one is by a good and honorable man that I currently work with. He says more than I can in his words. All I can do is say thanks.

God Bless and may your eternal rest be ever peaceful, Brother.

In our current troubled times for the brave men and women who wear the badge of honor I wanted you and your family to know that many of us greatly appreciate your sacrifice. 56 years may have passed but you are not forgotten LT. Thank you for forging and maintaining a solid foundation for all those who will ever come after you into the NH State Police.

Your heroism and service is honored today, the fifty-first anniversary of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer who was murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.

Time never diminishes respect. Your memory will always be honored and revered. Rest In Peace.

I pray for solace for all those who love and miss you for I know both the pain and pride are forever.
