Reflections for Sergeant William King Biggs, Jr.
Officer Biggs was a wonderful and wise police officer. Years ago, when my son, Brandon Tripp, was sowing his wild oats on the streets of Kirkwood, even he appreciated the even-handed firmness and consideration displayed by Officer Biggs. Brandon is now working on a PhD in Economics and this morning we shared fond memrories of Officer Biggs. Our hearts are saddened by the loss of this kind and gentle man. He will be forever missed.

If you have no capacity for violence then you are a healthy productive citizen, a sheep. If you have a capacity for violence and no empathy for your fellow citizens, then you have defined an aggressive sociopath, a wolf. But what if you have a capacity for violence, and a deep love for your fellow citizens? What do you have then? A sheepdog, a warrior, someone who is walking the hero's path. Someone who can walk into the heart of darkness, into the universal human phobia, and walk out unscathed.

Farewell for now Brother. Rest in Peace knowing you gave your all. As I look at and review all the many reflections that come for the Brothers, and notice they come from around the world, it puts my faith more strongly in our Thin Blue Line. It points out the importance of how we need to tighten up and irregardless of whether we are Federal, State,County, City or Town, Active or Retired, it's imperative we look out for and take care of each other. May our Lord comfort your loved ones as they grieve their loss but rejoice in Heavens gain.
