Your heroism and service is honored today, the 83rd anniversary of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.

Rest In Peace

It has taken some time, and although you were lost in the history books for a while, you were never forgotten by any of us at BPD. Thanks to Lloyd, John, Jeff, and a few others of us that kept re-submitting info to ODMP, you are now remembered forever and can be recognized for making the ultimate sacrifice. God bless you and may you rest in peace knowing that we are all very proud of you and appreciative for your service to Bloomington, making it a safe and civil city more than eighty years ago.

I AM HONORED TO LEAVE A REFLECTION FOR YOU AS YOU YOUNG SIR ARE ADDED TO THIS PLACE OF FALLEN HEROS. YOU ARE A HERO JUST BY THE PROFESSION YOU CHOSE, AND AS ALWAYS THIS WRITER IS DISAPPOINTED THAT JUSTICE WAS NOT MORE APPROPRIATELY SERVED ON YOUR BEHALF.
