Reflections for Senior Border Patrol Agent Luis Alberto Aguilar
To the family of Agent Aguilar: As a fellow survivor of a fallen Border Patrol Agent, I can only say that I too share the grief of agent Aguilar's family, friends, and co-workers. As you face these troubled and gut wrenching days ahead, may God hold you in his tender mercies. Rest in peace Luis, your fellow agents have your watch now. Go mean green.

To the Aguilar family
I pray that our Heavenly Father may assuage the anguish of your bereavement, and leave you only the cherished memory of the loved and lost, and the solemn pride that must be yours to have laid so costly a sacrifice upon the altar of freedom.

My unit was extremely heart broken to hear of your passing and the way it happened. In anger, we all wondered out loud how long our government will continue to play politics at the Southern Border, cowering to the cries of those who seek to tie our hands behind our backs.
In your passing we see fully the true dangers faced by our agents and the blatant disregard for human life with which these cowards operate. Thank you for your courage to do the job in the face of such great adversity. Thank you for protecting our great nation and its people.
Peace be on to you and your family.
