Reflections for Detective Jarrod Brent Shivers
God bless you my brother. Rest easy I know your agency will provide..It really sucks that some P.O.S. Could do this and force you to leave your babies... I only hope that one day these liberals get tired of living in fear and release the raines alowing us to do our jobs and protect them... You, my brother are a hero and will never die!!!

~ Protecting Us Below ~
On the night they found you there, your life was taken without a care. As every brother and sister arrived, uncontrollably we wept, we cried.
Knowing we have to make a start, to fill the void deep within our heart. Even tho' you have left us behind, you'll always be with us in heart, spirit and mind.
Reunited one day we shall be, No longer victims on the 'Streets of Misery'. But til' the day we meet again, I will cherish the memories of my brother, my friend.
Not gonna' sit at your grave and cry, instead I will smile...lookin' up to the sky.
You'll be up where all angels in blue go, protecting your brothers and sisters below.
"J-Rod" you will be missed greatly, my brother!!

Another officer has fallen, Lord. You must have had a very special reason for needing him unknown to us. Detective Shivers is now standing his watch in Your Kingdom. He watches and now protects ALL of us. God bless you Detective Shivers and thank you for all your time of service and God bless your family for allowing you to serve. Dear Lord take care of him for he is special, and you now have another fine officer.

To the family of Detective Shivers...My heart aches for each and every one of you...I will pray for you to find the strength to get through this difficult time...I wish I was there to show you all as you showed me when we lost Drew, but I am with you all in spirit...I have spent the past 3 years trying to understand the "why"...I have come to realize, that I may never know why...but this much I can be sure of...it matters...it makes a difference, not just in our lives, but in the lives of so many...I know one day you too will find the good that comes from something so awful...Know, too, that you are not alone in this journey....many have taken it before you and we are all here...just a moment away...
To the Chesapeake Police Dept...my love and prayers are with you all...I still have the flag from your academy...everyday I am reminded of the bond you shared with my Drew....it means so much...I wish I was there to hug each and every one of you...please take care of Det Shivers family...not just today...or tomorrow...but next week..next month...next year...these are wounds that will take a long time to heal
To Mrs Shivers and her children...you are strong...you will survive...it will take time...it will be difficult...but you will get through this...if there is any way that I can help you, please reach out to me...I may not live in Suffolk anymore, but I am only a phone call or email away!!
Much love to you all,
Chrissy Henley, Surviving Spouse
