Reflections for Detective Jarrod Brent Shivers
Today marks the 13 year of your passing...remembering and walking through that most horrific and tragic day will always haunt me...I think about our life together which had its ups and downs, but we always managed to work it out together...may your sweet and kind soul stay in peace and continue to look down and keep us safe...missing you today and always my love..."to live in the hearts of those we love is never to die" January 17, 2020

Shivers was a good cop, but it was his compassion, dedication and love for the community and officers he served with that made him a great person!

It's some people's lucky number 7...
7 years it has been since you left your physical body and yet it still feels like yesterday...They say it will get easier, but it doesn't...I dislike the month of January and having to start each year with the reminder of what happened...you will always hold a special place in my heart and soul...continue to look over us and protect us from above...missing you always...

Jarrod,
Another year...It is still very difficult to believe that another year is about to pass and you aren't here. Each and everyday you are loved, thought about, and missed dearly.
Love,
Your wife and kids...xoxo

Jarrod was my best friend when he was living in New Zealand during his school years. We kept in touch for some years after he returned to the states , but then lost contact . I have been trying to track him down for several years, and have just found this site today - I am so shocked! My deepest sympathies to his wife and kids who I never met, and to his Mom, Dad and sister who I knew well.

Your heroism and service is honored today, the 4th anniversary of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.
Your memory will always be honored and revered for time never diminishes respect. I pray for solace for all those who love and miss you for I know both the pain and pride are forever.
Rest In Peace

When a police officer dies
Someone I knew
The whole world goes grey
Later when the sun breaks through the clouds
It doesn't seem fair
To forget so easily
For life to go on
Yet it does
And me with it

Your name was in the wind today. It's coming on 3 years since your tour of duty was taken to the heavens. You have a trainee who arrived January 1st 2011, take care of her, she is a Deputy from Clark County Ohio who left her family behind. Let her know we'll watch over them just like we watch over yours.

Thinking of you often. There are times I have to do several double takes thinking I seen you walking or passing by. Went to visit CPD a couple weeks ago and thought of those times seeing you walk pass the glass and wave before or after coming in from the street or training. Just letting you know and others know you will never be forgotten and thought of often! RIP Jarrod!! Watch over us from above! Say hi to Saffran. Im sure you two are part timing it up there. : )

We just returned from The National Police Memorial, you were there, etched in stone, just like your memory. Your brothers and sisters came to honor your memory as well, along with the thousands of others that stay by you on the wall. We miss you!

Heroes live forever buddy. Two years already. I think about that nite all the time.I brought you some flowers today. Next time I'll bring you a six pack of corona. Keep watch over my family Jarrod. Your kids are awsome, we had ash over last nite, she is an angel. I think her and karly will be my two pitchers this year on their softball team. Gonna coach them as long as they want me. Heroes live forever!!!!!!!!
