For me to come home and hear on the news that two more officers were slain in a senseless manner devastated me. I am in training to become a police officer myself and worry about that daily. I know someone who you held close to your heart, and you to hers. She is hurting in the worst wasy because she will never be able to tell you how she really felt. She cared and loved for you deeply. My heart and prayers go out to you and your family. May you be in a better place resting and watching down on your family and frends. You will be dearly missed.

To my fellow brother in blue. I too am from Rochester and serving the community many miles from home. I want to say Thank You to our Brothers and Sisters in Rochester who put together a wonderful homecoming for you. When I heard of the news I was deeply saddened. Losing two of our Officer's here nearly a year ago in a similar fashion, brought back vivid memories. My thoughts and prayers are with you, your family and the brothers and sisters you left behind. May you rest in peace.

Rick,
I just want you to know that I love you and that this is not the end for us. We shall meet again. I will always remember everything that you told me, to always stand for something and to do my best at whatever I do. You always knew what to say to bring a smile across my face. You always told me that I can be whatever that I want to be and I promise brother I will not let you down. You are the most wonderful bestfriend that anyone could ever ask for and I thank you. I thank you for always being there no matter where you were Rochester, Japan, Atlanta you were there for me. When a meet you back in 5th grade a #4 school I know that you were the older brother that I never had. Again I thank you and will ALWAYS love you with my whole heart. KEEP SMILING

The hardest thing being a radio operator is hearing the sound of a 63 go over the air. I was off that night but to wake up in the morning and hear Fox 5 News report two Dekalb County Officers slain was the most awful feeling. Haven't felt that since Stepnowski. You feel helpless and anger. It hurts to know that you have people that for one don't respect life and two don't respect law enforcement. Though I have never met neither Eric or Ricky I feel a loss. I feel a loss because I remember your voices and your unit numbers. There are even some units whom we remember badge numbers. That is just how close we are but are not. My thoughts and prayers are with your families. To the family know that you will see him again. Memories are priceless. Ricky and Eric you will never be forgotten. Rest in peace. Love, Radio

Ricky when I first found out that you were involved in this incident, my heart dropped. I thought back to all the encounters we made as we worked on a daily while working for two different agencies. These uniforms brought us together, and I'm grateful for the opportunity of getting to know you over the past year and half. Rest on my brother along with your partner Barker and keep Heaven Safe!

May you Rest in Peace Brother. I was at the airport when you returned to Rochester. I was standing at attention on the tarmac with your brothers and sisters paying you the respect you deserve from very citizen for giving yourself to a higher cause. It was an honor to salute you as you made your way home. I pray for your families in their time of need. Both the family you were born into and the one you served with. You are a true hero for the way you lived, not because of the way you died. May God rest your soul.

Aloha e Police Officer Ricky Bryant Jr.,
Thank you for your service and dedication to your community and your country. You and all officers that continue to lay your lives on the line and pay the ultimate sacrifice to keep our communities and country safe will NEVER be forgotten.

I pledge to become a continuum of the "ODMP Light" in which Visionary Founder, Chris Cosgriff created for all Fallen Law Enforcement Officers. That light is in the form of an ODMP tribute. People from all walks of life regardless of age, race, religion, profession, education, and geographical location can share here on the ODMP a heartfelt reflection on behalf of a fallen officer.

Every fallen officer is a hero. The ODMP serves as a place where that continuum of "LIGHT" can be felt through the heart and soul of each and every person who honors our fallen heroes with a reflection.

May God comfort the family, loved ones, friends, and fellow officers who have lost their beloved one. May the reflections left fill the void until the light within shines again, as your fallen hero is at rest with Jesus Christ and his soul has been set free. Feel the warmth of his smile from Heaven, he’s watching your back now. He’s that hero who can never be replaced in this lifetime. I light a candle in your honor.

I wish you peace and love beyond all understanding. You are embraced as one of Hawaii's own with integrity, respect, and fairness as you are a fallen hero. You will never be forgotten. 24-7-365 THANK YOU BLUE.

Ricky

You came home to Rochester today. We welcomed you well. Close to 100 Police Officers from US Border Patrol, NYSP, Police Officers from every Department in Monroe County including Probation and Parole, and even some Departments from outside Monroe County came and stood in the cold and the snow to bring you home. What a touching escort for you as well, your Mother rode with us from the airport past your Mother's home and then to the funeral home. 15 Officers saluting and standing out in front of your Mother's home with their cars across the street with their lights flashing, neighbors from the airport all the way along the route standing outside saluting, holding flags. There are many more events this weekend as your hometown mourns our losing you. Most of us never knew you, but you will always be our brother in blue. Thank you for your service.
