David has been so loving, thoughtful, kind, protective and just wonderful to me and my children. He is like a blood brother to me. He in many ways is the only 'father' figure my children have known. He encouraged them, taught them, talked to them, understood them, disciplined them, and most of all loved them. He and Annette deserve a lot of the credit for their successes and accomplishments; they, through their day to day life showed my children how a good strong man and woman live together, work together, raise their children together and manage through good times and tough times. Dave taught my children what a responsible, committed, fun loving, family oriented, christian man looks like, lives like and loves like. We are so blessed to have had Dave in our lives. He is a part of us and will live within us forever; and that is a blessing within itself.

I met David when I was a Deputy with FBCSO. Although I never got to know him on a more personal level, I could always be sure to be greeted with a smile and laughter. It has been years since I've seen him, but I am sure his demeaner hadn't changed a bit.

God speed Brother. I will keep you and your family in my prayers.

Aloha e Deputy Constable David Joubert,
Thank you for your service and dedication to your community and your country. You and all officers that continue to lay your lives on the line and pay the ultimate sacrifice to keep our communities and country safe will NEVER be forgotten.

I pledge to become a continuum of the "ODMP Light" in which Visionary Founder, Chris Cosgriff created for all Fallen Law Enforcement Officers. That light is in the form of an ODMP tribute. People from all walks of life regardless of age, race, religion, profession, education, and geographical location can share here on the ODMP a heartfelt reflection on behalf of a fallen officer.

Every fallen officer is a hero. The ODMP serves as a place where that continuum of "LIGHT" can be felt through the heart and soul of each and every person who honors our fallen heroes with a reflection.

May God comfort the family, loved ones, friends, and fellow officers who have lost their beloved one. May the reflections left fill the void until the light within shines again, as your fallen hero is at rest with Jesus Christ and his soul has been set free. Feel the warmth of his smile from Heaven, he’s watching your back now. He’s that hero who can never be replaced in this lifetime. I light a candle in your honor.

I wish you peace and love beyond all understanding. You are embraced as one of Hawaii's own with integrity, respect, and fairness as you are a fallen hero. You will never be forgotten. 24-7-365 THANK YOU BLUE.
