Reflections for Deputy Sheriff Anthony "Sean" Pursifull
May God be with the family, friends and Dept. of Deputy Pursifull during their time of bereavement. It's always tragic to lose a loved one unexpectantly like this. God Bless you my brother in Law Enforcement. You're untimely death will not be in vain for we'll continue the fight to protect and serve and bring criminals like the ones who mudered you to justice. Now gear up and grab a beat in Heaven we'll see you soon.

Aloha e Deputy Sheriff Sean Pursifull,
Thank you for your service and dedication to your community and your country. You and all officers that continue to lay your lives on the line and pay the ultimate sacrifice to keep our communities and country safe will NEVER be forgotten.
I pledge to become a continuum of the "ODMP Light" in which Visionary Founder, Chris Cosgriff created for all Fallen Law Enforcement Officers. That light is in the form of an ODMP tribute. People from all walks of life regardless of age, race, religion, profession, education, and geographical location can share here on the ODMP a heartfelt reflection on behalf of a fallen officer.
Every fallen officer is a hero. The ODMP serves as a place where that continuum of "LIGHT" can be felt through the heart and soul of each and every person who honors our fallen heroes with a reflection.
May God comfort the family, loved ones, friends, and fellow officers who have lost their beloved one. May the reflections left fill the void until the light within shines again, as your fallen hero is at rest with Jesus Christ and his soul has been set free. Feel the warmth of his smile from Heaven, he’s watching your back now. He’s that hero who can never be replaced in this lifetime. I light a candle in your honor.
I wish you peace and love beyond all understanding. You are embraced as one of Hawaii's own with integrity, respect, and fairness as you are a fallen hero. You will never be forgotten. 24-7-365 THANK YOU BLUE.
Me ke aloha pumehana Deputy Sheriff Sean Pursifull a me nani uhane.

I've always thought that the greatest irony of police work is KNOWING that what you love most - the calling of duty and service - may also get you killed. Yet it is still the chosen path.
So the solace that I take in this, is that you died doing what you loved, and that King is by your side - a valiant partner until the end.
It is sad beyond words that you were taken in your prime, at such a young age, but it will not be in vain.
For Deputy K-9 King: "Fidelas Ad Mortem: Faithful unto Death"
For you, "In valor, there is hope." You and King showed valor, therefore I have hope that they will try those wastes of humanity as adults and that justice is swift and unrelenting
You and King rest easy and be with God. For you service here is over, but for the rest is not done.

To the family, friends, and officers that knew Deputy Pursifull, my thoughts and prayers are with you as you face the trying times ahead of you. Please know your not alone.
Here I am, lost in the light of the moon that comes through my window
Bathed in blue, the walls of my memory divide the thorns from the roses
It's you and the roses
Touch me and I will follow in your afterglow
Heal me from all this sorrow
As I let you go I will find my way when I see your eyes
Now I'm living in your afterglow
Here I am, lost in the ashes of time, but who wants tomorrow?
In between the longing to hold you again
I'm caught in your shadow, I'm losing control
My mind drifts away, we only have today
Touch me and I will follow in your afterglow
Heal me from all this sorrow
As I let you go I will find my way
I will sacrifice 'til the blinding day when I see your eyes
Now I'm living in your afterglow
When the veils are gone as I let you go, as I let you go
Touch me and I will follow in your afterglow
Heal me from all this sorrow
As I let you go I will find my way, I will sacrifice
Now I'm living in your afterglow
Bathed in blue, the walls of my memory divide the thorns from the roses
It's you who is closest

Sean, thank you for all you did for Bell County. I don't understand how anyone could take another persons life. I am so sorry for your family, friends, and all those who knew you. Bell County will sadly miss you dearly. I walk at the park where you were killed and it is something I will remember and never forget. Rest in peace Sean. JUSTICE will be served.

SEAN WAS A GREAT FRIEND AND AN OUTSTANDING OFFICER. THERE WAS NO DOUBT THAT HE LOVED THE JOB THAT ENDED HIS LIFE, AND ALSO THE LIFE OF HIS K9 PARTNER, KING. ALL OF US HERE @ THE FIRE DEPARTMENT WILL MISS HIM GREATLY. DEEPEST SYMPATHY TO HIS FAMILY AND FRIENDS, ESPECIALLY HIS DAUGHTERS, STEPHANIE, AND HIS UNBORN SON. WE WOULD ALSO LIKE TO EXTEND OUR PRAYERS TO ALL OF HIS CO-WORKERS @ BCSO. THIS TRAJEDY AFFECTED SO MANY PEOPLE THAT IT IS IMPOSSIBLE TO MENTION EVERYONE BY NAME. WE ARE SORRY FOR EVERYONE, EVEN THOSE WHO DIDN'T KNOW HIM PERSONALLY BUT ARE A PART OF THE NEVER ENDING BROTHERHOOD. I KNOW WHEN I AM WORKING HERE AT THE FIRE DEPARTMENT I STILL CATCH MYSELF LOOKING OUT THE BAY WINDOW FOR SEAN AND KING. HE ALWAYS STOPPED AT THE END OF ARNETT & STEELE PARKING LOT TO LET KING USE THE BATHROOM OR JUST GET OUT OF THE CAR FOR A WHILE. YOU WILL BE FOREVER MISSED!
