I stand with God. I fight not for glory or fame,
For they are momentary.
I fight for those who can't.
I fight for Justice.
I fight for the oppressed and the down trodden.
And if I should lose my life for these just causes, then I have no regrets,
For I serve to protect the innocent.
It matters not where or when,
For evil knows no boundaries.
Be it fire, flood, or the threat of tyranny,
I will not flee.
Justice is my weapon.
Faith is my shield.
Hope is my armor.
Cry not at my passing,
For it was my Honor to fight for you.
Shed not tears of sorrow,
But tears of joy,
For now,
I stand with God.

To Hero Freeman's family:

My husband died May 3, 2007 in the line of duty. I was so sorry to hear about your husband/dad. I did not know him personally, but he was a true hero. Although his watch is now over, he will never be forgotten. I wish I could take your pain for you.

Eric, I'm so glad I got to be running partners with you for over 2 years. You were truly an energetic and effective partner. We laughed, argued, and everything in-between with one another, and we watched each others backs. Remember that 10-51 in B2 when we were new??? That drunk guy came toward you and just as he started to yell at you, you sprayed his mouth full of O.C. and he dropped like a rock. His dad said he was going inside to get a gun. I had a flat tire down the street and was running like heck to get there, but you had it handled when I arrived. Even though I also have a wife and kids, I can't help but wish that I had been there in your place Friday night. That's what partners are for. Thanks so much for that financial advice that you gave me on Tuesday night. It worked out real well.

You'd be proud of Leslie and the kids. They were so strong and composed in the face of such sadness. It seems as though everyone wants to help, and I can only think that peace and quiet and to not be bothered so much might be what they desire the most.

I love you, brother, and I'll do my best to honor you in my life and work everyday. God bless.........
