Reflections for Constable George A. Hays
My wife (George Hays' grand-daughter) and I just visited Sheriff Jeff Garner in Reagan County. Jeff placed a plaque in the lobby in remembrance of George Hays and his sacrifice. We took the Colt SAA that George carried that night. My wife and Sheriff Garner were photographed with it for a story to come out in the local Newspaper.

Your heroism and service is honored today, the 85th anniversary of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.
