I met D/S Wallace while he was a recruit at the academy. I recall his pride in the choice he had taken. He was always positive and was excited about working for Pahokee. When I heard about the accident I was at a loss of words but I wish the LORD to provide stregth to his family and friends. R.I.P. brother!

Wallace, it seems like yesterday that I met you for the first time. I can remember you riding with my old FTO and friend, John Loper. I could not think of a better person for you to be with, keep you safe, or teach you “the ropes,” despite the fact that you had a little more than a few shifts to learn from him.
I was happy to have you join the PBSO family with me. I was proud to know that you completed FTO. I was glad when you stayed in Pahokee. I wish I had the opportunity to spend more time with you. You are an enthusiastic and kind hearted person, probably why “Big D” got along so well with you.
Your community called for you and you stepped up to answer the call. I will see you again, probably with “Big D.”
Rest easy.

This is a sad time for the friends and families of D/S Wallace and D/S Manuel of the Palm Beach County Sheriffs Office. Even though I did not know these officers I did know the family of D/S Wallace. I also knew others officers that were involved in the call that night.
It doesn’t matter if we knew them, but the important thing is they laid their life down for the community in which they served. People just take things for credit, but there is a lot of things officers give up to protect their communities.
It really hits home when you are from that area. Not only was I born there, I worked in law enforcement there. The officers of the glades area are a close nit family, and they have lost a big part of that family. Our prayers go out to the family and friends of the fallen officers and the other officers involved in the call that night.

Yet again a good life far too young has been snuffed out by the wanton actions of criminals that our society can very well do without. My heart goes out to those who loved this young man, and those who served with him. May God be with those who Deputy Wallace has left to carry on without him. And may Almighty God hold this brave young man in His loving hand.
One can only hope that the court system may actually place the responsibility of these two tragic deaths where it squarely belongs. Common sense, however, seems to be very uncommon in that arena.

Law Enforcement grieves for the Wallace family. I personally knew Jonathan and what a great individual he was. A kind hearted person that would do anything for anyone without ever thinking of himself. It was an honor to attend the police academy with Jonathan and he truely is a hero. May God deliver peace to your family and friends and help protect our law enforcement brothers around the world.
