When I heard of this tragedy, all that came to mind was not again. The South Florida Law Enforcement Community has once again lost two very valuble and loved members very early in their careers. From all the members of your extended law enforcement family here at SIBPD, our thoughts and prayers are with the immediate families, as well as the PBSO family. To all left to serve in their memory please, lets be safe out there.

"DON'T GRIEVE FOR ME"
Don't grieve for me, for now I'm free
I'm following the path god laid for me.
I took his hand when I heard him call,
I turn my back and left it all.
I could not stay another day
To laugh, to love, to work or play.
Task left undone must stay that way,
I found that peace at the close of the day.
If my parting has left a void,
Than fill it with remembered joy.
A friendship shared, a laugh, a kiss
Ah yes, these things I, too, will miss.
Be not burdened with times of sorrow
I wish you the sunshine of tomorrow,
My life's been full, I savored much,
Good friends, good times, a loved one's touch.
Perhaps my time seemed all too brief
Don't lengthen it now with undue grief.
Lift up your heart and share with me,
God wanted me now, He set me free.
I believe in God and believe I will see you again.
What a tragedy to lose 2 officers at this time of year. Hopefully these few words can be of some comfort to all who knew Sheriff Wallace

Another deputy has fallen, Lord, You must have had a very special reason for needing him unknown to us. Deputy Wallace is now standing his watch in Your Kingdom. He watches and now protects ALL of us. God bless you Deputy Wallace, and thank you for all your time of service and God bless your family for allowing you to serve. Dear Lord take care of him, for he is special and you now have another fine Deputy.

I wish to send our heart felt condolences to the family members of Deputy Wallace and all of the members of the Palm Beach County Sheriffs Office. Once again, these officers demonstrated their selfless dedication to our citizens by trying to stop the criminals responsible for so many criminal acts, injuries and deaths in our community. They were working in the early hours reducing crime and maintaining the security, serenity and freedom we cherish in the United States. They gave the greatest sacrifice one can give protecting the citizens of Palm Beach County and South Florida. We are deeply saddened by this event. Look not on the actions of our officers, but on the felonious actions of the persons responsible for another stolen car, another pursuit where the felons acted in a threatening and deadly manner, causing such a great loss to the Wallace family, law enforcement and the community.

My Sincere regrets to the family of Officer Wallace and to all those of the Palm Beach Sheriff's Office. I buried 3 cops that I worked with and know your sorrow. It will never really leave, just fade some. You will never forget. But it will start to get better soon. Seek comfort in each other and remain close, be each other's support and most of all Be Safe.
