I wish to send our heart felt condolences to the family members of Deputy Manuel and all of the members of the Palm Beach County Sheriffs Office. Once again, these officers demonstrated their selfless dedication to our citizens by trying to stop the criminals responsible for so many criminal acts, injuries and deaths in our community. They were working in the early hours reducing crime and maintaining the security, serenity and freedom we cherish in the United States. They gave the greatest sacrifice one can give protecting the citizens of Palm Beach County and South Florida. We are deeply saddened by this event. Look not on the actions of our officers, but on the felonious actions of the persons responsible for another stolen car, another pursuit where the felons acted in a threatening and deadly manner, causing such a great loss to the Manuel family, law enforcement and the community.
