I sat and watch all this unfold today while working with the Federal Inmates at the Jail. I must say some were as shocked as I was that another officer fell in the line of duty. It was heartening to watch their reactions... Im so sorry Sir you are gone, but understand those of us still here will carry on your legecy...You are at peace, your tour is over... its your time to rest you deserve it... God speed and watch over us...

"A coward turns away, but a brave man's choice is danger."
While this quote describes all law enforcement, it is particularly appropriate here. This warrior ran to the sounds of battle while others ran away. He is a true hero and I salute him for his life and honor him for his sacrifice.
My admiration for this American hero, who devoted his entire life to this great country of ours knows bounds. God bless him and his family and my prayers go out to them and to his second family at the Broward County Sheriff's Office.

I know the first thing that comes to mind is anger at the individual who so recklessly took the life of a fellow officer. Most important though is the prayers I have for his family and the courage and care he showed throughout his career. Rest in peace brother.
