Deputy Rein,
You will be missed by so many. Not only within the DOD but the whole agency. You were such a joy to be around and work with. By the time I heard what happened until now, I've been sick to my stomach. Even while I was searching to county for your soulless killer, I was sick. But rest assured brother, we got that scum bag. I know you’re in a better place now, a place where heroes go. Say hi to Sgt Reyka, Dep Tephford and all the other who've gone before us for me. You will never be forgotten. Rest in Peace, we'll take it from here.

Paul, I will miss you. We have known each other for 20 years.
I remember meeting you at the Academy and ever since we have been friends. I remember seeing you at JAC recently and to my surprise you still looked the same. You age very well my friend and I can only hope someday, I will look as good as you. You always had that wonderful smile on your face. I will miss you my brother and god willing I will see you again.

I can only say that I am saddened at the loss of yet another fine officer. I worked with you a short time at the Broward County Jail. Even though we have met, I did not know you well. I send my prayers to your family as I became aware I work with one of your family members. The Law Enforcement Community Salutes you, may you rest in peace. Why did this person take your life? we are becoming surrounded by people who now have no fear, and kill without caring about who you leave behind. God Bless!!!!

Even when every day of my life I preach about our Father calling his children home , and knowing that no matter how one dies he/she will be with GOD. It makes my cry each and every single time a Sister or Brother in Blue dies in the hands of one committing a crime. Paul, though you and I never met in life I can't wait to meet you in Heaven. You can rest now my son, for your brothers and sisters will now take over your watch here on earth. You just enjoy your new tour of duty of walking the streets of heaven, where all is good.

To Paul's Family, his two (2) Sons one a retired brother in blue and the other Proudly Serving the City of Coconut Creek (Where I too live) be strong he is in a better place for he has now met his maker. To the Men and Women of BSO stay strong, stay on track for your brother is now at rest. With all the South Florida Police Dept's working together today you got his killer, bring him to justice, and continue to keep all of us safe from him and any others. God Bless you all, My Prayers and thoughts will be with each and every one of you.
