"If you find it in your heart to care for somebody else, you will have succeeded." -- Maya Angelou

Aloha Special Agent Thomas A. Crowell,
Thank you for your service and dedication to your community and your country. You and all officers that continue to lay your lives on the line and pay the ultimate sacrifice to keep our communities and country safe, will NEVER be forgotten.

I believe in the ODMP and Police*Link that visionary and Founder Chris Cosgriff created. There is power in the written and spoken word, in prayer, in what is felt in the heart, and in the soul. Every tribute left in honor for a fallen officer, is a candle lit. Every candle lit, lights another.

Every light represents a reflection left by an individual in the form of a tribute which is and always will be, very personal and special to the fallen hero it was left to honor, and to thousands who will read it. Here we are able to come together and build a quilt for our fallen hero. A quilt built from people who share from their hearts in reflections; tributes.

Special Agent Thomas A. Crowell,
I wish you, your loved ones, and your fellow officers peace and love beyond all understanding. Aloha.

**May all who read this tribute find comfort in this Hawaiian prayer left in this hero's honor. You will NEVER be forgotten. May God allow you to rest in His eternal peace.**

THE PEACE OF " I "
KA MALUHIA O KA "I"

Peace be with you, All My Peace,
O ka Maluhia no me oe, Ku'u Maluhia a pau loa,

The Peace that is " I ", the Peace that is "I am".
Ka Maluhia o ka "I", owau no ka Maluhia,

The Peace for always, now and forever and evermore.
Ka Maluhia no na wa a pau, no ke'ia wa a mau a mau loa aku.

My Peace " I " give to you, My Peace " I " leave with you,
Ha'awi aku wau I ku'u Maluhia ia oe, waiho aku wau I ku'u Maluhia me oe,

Not the world's Peace, but, only My Peace,
The Peace of " I ".

Soldier,

You, and those who gave the ultimate sacrifice, are truly American heroes and we are eternally grateful for your sacrifice for our freedom. I can not thank you enough. May you travel with God's speed and may justice come to those savages who did this to you. God bless you, your family, and this great nation the United States of America with emphasis on United.

A soldier once stood at the pearly gates and asked permission to enter the kingdom of heaven. He was asked by the gate keeper why he should be allowed into the kingdom, to which the soldier replied, “I spent my life dedicated to preserving and protecting the rights of the children of God. I have fought diligently to prevent dictators from ruling the world with terror. I worked day and night to prevent genocide, mass homicide, and other atrocities from occurring. With every step I took the world became a better place. But most importantly, I have already served my time in Hell in the battlefields.” With that response the soldier heard the Father say, “Come my son, enter into my eternal rest, thou good and faithful servant.”

Rest in peace my friend; we have the watch from here.

My most heartfelt condolences to the family, friends and coworkers of Special Agent Crowell. You are all in my thoughts and prayers during this most difficult time.

And to his wife ~ I share your agony. I also lost my husband in the line of duty and am left to raise 2 young children by myself. You may not believe this right now but you will get through this - allow others to hold you up when you can't stand on your own and know that, with time, you will be alright. It will get better, I promise you.

Thank you, Special Agent Crowell, for your service and ultimate sacrifice. May God bless you and may you rest in eternal peace, forever safe in the arms of the angels.
