Dear Officer Cassidy,
Why is it that God always takes the best men so early? You have faithfully served the citizens of Philadelphia for twenty-five years and have only stood up for what is right. The entire city and the surrounding area is very greatful for your loyal service and is shocked at this event. Be sure that you have not left us in vein. Your hard work has payed off and you have finished your service. God will now give you the peace and justice up there that you worked so hard to bring to us down here. You will never be forgotten.
Good night, Officer Cassidy, and may the road rise up to meet you.

I am so saddened by the news of Officer Cassidy's passing. One more senseless death in a trend that seems to be exploding in this area. Officer Cassidy is a true hero and will always be remembered for his bravery and dedication to duty. Rest in Peace!

I kissed and hugged my husband a little longer this morning as he left for work. You and your family had been on my mind and I was unaware that you had passed away, the ultimate sacrifice. You will never been forgotten, and your family will be in my prayers. It truly is a thin blue line. Rest in peace and thank you.
