My heart goes out to all those who lost such a couragous man. It is truly a sad, sad, sad day for our state and for the entire USA when our news headlines are filled with robberies and shootings. May god be with all.

My personal comments regarding how these murders (have you ever noticed that police officers are never described as "murdered", when a thug murders them)come about could go on for paragraphs here. Suffice it to say, that if the buracrats could ever get around to locking up, or better yet ELIMINATING our habitual career criminals (as I would certainly bet rent money, that this maggot will turn out to be WHEN he is caught), then I firmly believe that these MURDERS of our police officers will be reduced drastically.(Which, of course, never seems to fit into the agendas of career buracrats).

My prayers for the family and loved ones of Officer Cassidy, and for the brothers and sisters who serve with him. May God comfort them and this horrible time.

"Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called the children of God".

God be with you, Officer Cassidy. Your sacrifice will not be forgotten, Sir.

This is heartbreaking. 25 years on the job, on patrol looking to reassure an establishment that had previously been robbed, and Officer Cassidy is murdered by an animal.

Our family's prayers are with the family of Officer Cassidy, as well as the Philadelphia Police Department.

Officer Cassidy, rest in peace, sir.
