Officer Cassidy - While I never met you or your family, your death has affected me greatly. I lived in West Oak Lane during my childhood, less than 2 blocks from that donut shop. I'm having trouble coming up with any profound words, but I felt compelled to honor you and share my deepest, heartfelt condolences to your wife & children. I'm impressed with the dedication and devotion your Philadelphia P.D. brothers & sisters have shown in the search for your murderer. I have the utmost confidence that they won't stop until he has been brought to justice.
Thank you for your 25 years of service to the citizens of Philadelphia. I'll never pass the 35th district at Broad & Champlost without thinking of the sacrifice you made for all of us.

I had the pleasure to meet Officer Cassidy several years ago, and my prayers go out to his family, friends and fellow officers. May god bless all of you and send his special gardian angels to guide you through this dark time. Officer Cassidy will be missed, but we can take some comfort in the thought that Charles will be looking down on us all from heaven as we continue to carry on where he left off. It is too often that our great heroes are underappreciated. What they do for we citizens is a GREAT and BRAVE service. I am saddened, bothered, and sick that this happened to one of our loyal, local heroes. My thoughts and prayers are with Officer Cassidy's family during this tragic time. May God grant him peace, and may justice be served. Thank you for everything you've done, Officer Cassidy. Rest in peace.
