My heart drops every time I hear of a police officer fall. Just a few months ago it was an NYPD officer by the name of Russel Timoshenko who was only 23 years old. Thank god they caught the guys responsible for his death and I hope and pray they do the same for you. You are the white angel in the dark allies and may you look down upon your brothers in blue and protect them when they need it most. Your spirit lives on sir and god bless you and your family

God bless you and your family. May you rest in peace. To all who protect and serve, take that extra few seconds and let those loved ones know how you feel. You never know!!! You have to take your hat off to someone who serves 25 plus and still does it with a smile. Good job P/O Cassidy. You will always be with us.

To the family, friends and co-workers of Officer Cassidy, my sincerest sympathy to all of you during this sad time. Although I did not know Officer Cassidy, I cried upon seeing the news report of his passing. A great hero was lost that day and I truly believe his sacrifice may have saved those in that store from a similar fate. I also know, in my heart, the Philadelphia PD will find the one responsible. God Bless Officer Cassidy.

I am truly saddened by the loss of Officer Cassidy, the more I learn of him, the more I wish I could have learned from him. What a remarkable person...what a remarkable cop.
We will hunt this animal down with the guidance of St. Michael and our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ will judge him.
May you the lord grant you peace, accept you into his arms as his son. Rest well.
