I just wanted to say my heart is broken and all my thoughts are with the Cassidy family and the Police family that is suffering at this time. I am so sorry for all of you. I know this feeling well since my Dennis was murdered, shot in the head the same way, and the pain is so unbearable you think it will never end, but there is always a hole in your heart and the pain subsides, but never does go away. I am thinking of you every day and I send all my love and peace to you all at this time. Take care of each other. Diane McNamara, Melissa and Spike (my kids)

Rest in Peace brother you and all your brothers in blue are true heroes and it is so sad that a tragedy like this is needed for people to realize that. Sacrifices like that made by heroes like you are what have inspired me to pursue a career with the philadelphia police department. God bless you and your family and please watch over me and keep me safe in times when I like you will face danger in my future career and I can only hope that I handle myself like you did in a heroic manner
