Chuck is one of the best police officers I have ever met. I had the pleasure of knowing him for over nine years. I have always respected Chuck's work ethic and wanted to be as good of an officer as Chuck. Chuck and Mike never needed an MDT to find a stolen car. Their arrests were just "good old fashioned police work." I always tried to express how great he was to the newer officers in the district that weren't there during their partnership. Chuck you are sadly missed and we are lost without you.

The murder of any officer is tragic, but those who have dedicated such a large portion of their lives to defending the citizens of their cities and towns feel particularly bad.
My thoughts and prayers are with Charles's family and friends. To his co-workers, I hope you hunt the animal down that did this, and I hope you show him the same amount of mercy he showed Officer Cassidy....good luck
